The Original Little America Unveils New State-of-the-Art Travel Center in Honor of 90th Anniversary

The newly renovated Travel Center has doubled in size offering expanded amenities, enhanced dining options, and a modernized layout providing unparalleled convenience to travelers

Little America, WY – May 6, 2025 – Little America Wyoming, a cherished oasis for travelers for nearly a century, is excited to announce the grand opening of its newly renovated Travel Center, in honor of its recently celebrated 90th anniversary. This milestone event marks a significant investment in enhancing guest experiences with a vibrant, spacious, and convenient facility while preserving the hospitality that has made Little America a favorite destination for visitors and locals alike.

The new Travel Center is a complete transformation from the ground up, offering an expanded footprint with an additional 3,500 square feet of service area, nearly double the size of the original space. Designed for efficiency and comfort, the revamped space improves traffic flow, reduces congestion, and provides more food, beverage, and retail options than ever before.

“Our goal has always been to provide the best experience for our guests,” said Spencer Riggs, General Manager of Little America Wyoming. “With this new Travel Center, we’re taking that commitment to the next level, providing faster service, better amenities, and a more comfortable visit for everyone.”

The upgraded Travel Center boasts a range of exciting new features designed to meet the needs of families. Highlights include expanded food and beverage options, a larger dining area, an extensive grab-and-go selection, and an enhanced fountain and frozen drink station. Guests can also enjoy two standout additions: made-to-order artisan pizza, and a loaded baked potato menu.  Kids will love the playground which is the largest play area of any travel center in Wyoming.

To improve convenience, self-serve kiosks complement full-service counters, ensuring faster service.  Additionally, a greatly expanded selection of souvenirs, gifts, and locally made Wyoming products, including ice cream from Shumway Farms, gives visitors a true taste of the region.

Little America Wyoming has been a landmark destination since its founding in 1934, serving millions of guests with its signature hospitality. The grand opening of the Travel Center is a fitting way to commemorate its recently celebrated 90th anniversary, reinforcing its commitment to evolving with the needs of travelers while staying true to its roots.

“As we celebrate this milestone, we’re reminded of the generations of travelers who made Little America and our famous ice cream cone part of their journey,” said Tony O’Brien, Vice President Operations of Little America Hotels and Resorts. “This renovation is just one of the ways we hope to thank them and ensure that we continue to be a welcoming destination for years to come.”

To mark the occasion, Little America will be hosting a grand opening celebration on Saturday, May 17, 2025. The event will include a ceremonial ribbon cutting, classic car show, family-friendly activities, special promotions, giveaways, and exclusive first looks at the new Travel Center. Everyone is invited to join in the festivities and experience the exciting changes firsthand.
